Description Of Event: Remember when our images of Hollywood royalty were in black-and-white?  When Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz were competing the same year for the Oscars?  Televisions did not exist, only movie screens. Europe was moving towards war and Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the leader of the free world.  Well, the Danvers Family Festival Committee invites you back to that time by inviting you to the 2014 festival kick-off event, Hooray for Hollywood.  Walk the red carpet and enter into a re-created 1940's nightclub where paparazzi cameras flash away as one famous star arrives after the next.  Swing dance to a big band and have an opportunity to appear in a black-and-white photo of your own with Clark Gable or John Wayne.  The cost is $65 per person with hors d'oeuvres and a full dinner served.
