We are an all volunteer group and we are thrilled to help provide these events to Danvers families and their children, grandchildren and friends. The entire Festival is done with private money, through the help and the generosity of the citizens of Danvers, the local civic organizations and area businesses, event sponsors and our Corporate Partners. We are pleased to be a part of so many families’ lives in our community, and hope that we can continue providing this Festival as part of this country’s celebration of our independence for many years to come.

Would you like to be more involved in the Festival?

  1. Volunteering is the first step. The Danvers Family Festival can always use more hands at our Big Pig BBQ,, Endicott Park Day, Scoop-Ahh-Bowl, Oldies Night, Sunday Brunch with Sinatra and Danvers Field Day.  Contact Lisa at . We can use you for an hour, all day, or anything in between. If some of the other 26 events are things that you really enjoy, please contact the organizers and see if they need help. You can find all their contact information on their event page on our website.

  2. If you want to be more involved than just volunteering at the events, you can become a DFF Member.  As a member, you elect which committees you want to be involved with, and then attend those meetings and events.  This allows you to have an input into the specific elements of the event(s) and become part of making it happen.  Simply fill out our Membership Application  and mail it to us at P.O. Box 448, Danvers MA 01923.

  3. If you really want to be part of the strategic planning for DFF, then you need to become a Director.  Directors are elected annually for a 3 year term, and serve as the policy-making body of the Corporation. We have an administrative and fiduciary responsibility to raise and prudently spend a considerable amount of money to provide the core events for the Festival. Meeting monthly August through June, we plan the core events and coordinate the activities of 24 different civic organizations under the DFF umbrella.  Directors should plan to attend all board meetings, but those who do not attend at least ½ of the board meetings are subject to dismissal at the end of the year.

We firmly believe Danvers is a wonderful town, filled with active organizations and people who dedicate themselves to making our community a better place for all. In 2003, we adopted the sub line: Be A Part of It. We appreciate your participation at any level, be it as an attendee, financial contributor, sponsor, partner, Volunteer, Member or Director.
