Fireworks Festival

Date of Event: Sunday July 3, 2011. Rain Date: Tuesday, July 5th, same schedule of events. Congrats to our 2011 Danvers Idol Winner: Melissa Mills of Peabody!

Time Of Event: 7:00pm to 10:30pm. Fireworks start at approximately 9:30pm.

Location: Plains Park, Holten Richmond Middle School

Description Of Event: Our stage show will begin at 7:00 PM with some of the best local artists on the North Shore. The following performers will take the stage from 7:00 - 8:30 PM:

Kieth Lewis, Lou Belmont, Stephanie McCarthy, Ashley Johnson and also The College Fund Band.

This year we are doing a special service for Operation Troop Support by requesting folks to bring a pair of new socks to the park on July 3rd "Socks for Soldiers" -bring a pair to show you care....OTS volunteers will be collecting socks at the park and will ship them to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

At 8:30 PM we have our Patriotic Program with a special guest; wounded warrior Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart recipient Army Specialist Marc Sylvestri. Leading up to his presentation we will have our Veterans parade through the crowd following their service flag to the stage then we will have the Star Spangled Banner, the Beverly Composite Squadron with present the colors and our Ladies Auxiliary will present a flag to each Vet then we will conclude with God Bless America.

At 9:00 PM we have the Danvers Idol Winner perform and then the 50/50 winner will be announced. Last year's winner took over $4,000. The fireworks will commence at 9:30 PM.
