Description: |
The Yellow Dot Program is part of the Medical information (provided by the participants)
is recorded on an information card. That persons
picture is taken and attached to the information card and placed in a manila
envelope which is kept in the glove compartment of their vehicles. A yellow
sticker is provided for the participant to place on the lower left hand
corner of the car’s rear window. Emergency personnel are specially
trained to look for the ‘Yellow Dot’ to locate valuable medical
information in the event of an accident or other medical emergency. This is
extremely important if the participant is unable to communicate. The program is not limited to senior
participants. Join us at our information booth in
Danvers Square just prior to the band playing on Oldies Night. Also come learn about our “IS
YOUR NUMBER UP?” street numbering program for residents and businesses,
and our “R U OK” Program to provide scheduled computerized calls
to check on house-bound residents, or those who like the comfort of a daily
‘wellness’ call. A list of volunteer Opportunities will
also be available. |
